I feel your pain. I'm in San Bernardino county.
40% of Global Warming from our country is coming out of our tailpipes - I like many of you is not rushing out & purchasing an e-auto -- I'm hoping for what I "think" could be better solutions such as Fuel Cell powered --
For the sake of my grandchildren & their children, whatever takes place in the near future, it's imperative that all Gas Powered be parked in Museums quickly.
I think it's called the "wheel of fortune" - fortunate if the wind blows and creates some free electricity. Unfortunate, if it is a calm day!
I wonder how Tesla will respond to some other electric cars with pre-release announcements that they will guarantee their batteries to last "X" number of miles or months???

In fact it won't work regardless of how much wind you have. If the wind is strong it will create more drag and thus the car needs more power. So the net force is still zero. In fact it may work if you have tail wind and no wind turbine.
If you think its bad living out of state, you should just try to live in this suckass state. I’ll probably be dead in 2035 when gas cars are banned. If not, I can sell my diesel truck and gas suv for millions.
