I just returned from an awesome trip to East Cuba. This was my 4th trip to Cuba.
The travel agent we use has a *for the people* license so we stay in private homes and travel with her team of young guys with classic cars.

I will be going back Nov 27-Dec 4.
If interested please contact me with any questions.

Thanks so much. I do love the people of Cuba. Despite the control of their government, they are so much happier are than some in the USA.

The people are so generous, allowing photographers to take their photo, most don't ask for anything. A smile goes a long way. When I took photos of mothers or fathers holding babies, I asked if I could take the photo, after I took the image, showed it to them, I gave them a dollar. They were sooo very appreciative.

Great picture! We took a dune buggy tour in the Dominican Republic earlier this year and were told to bring individually wrapped candy for the kids. They were so appreciative and happy to see us (or the candy).

Beautiful images Roni. Cuba is still a beautiful country with very friendly people and many subjects to photograph.
Enjoy the trip and bring us beautiful images as the ones you have posted.

Great photos! I was stationed in Cuba (Guantanamo Bay) when I was in the Navy. Long before the prison and all that stuff. There was a squadron of Navy Aircraft there at the time but no longer.
We never saw the rest of the island, the world's largest active minefield lies between the Base and the rest of Cuba. We used to SCUBA dive there and it was GREAT!!! One thing all divers had to do was swim under water down to the end of the chain link fence isolating the mine field and pop up out of the water just long enough to touch a rock on the Communist Cuba side. The tradition was to grab a small rock or piece of coral and bring it back with you. There are no longer any rock or coral pieces small enough to carry away. Yes, I can say I have been to Communist Cuba!
