I'm caring for my grandchildren for several weeks (so jealous-my daughter and hubby are in Iceland). Anyway, I have very limited time for photo. I've been walking around the neighborhood taking photos in people's yards. I'm sure they think I'm a little off! I have no idea what this plant is, but i like it. It's only 5 inches tall with little purple flowers... let me know if you know it. It had a very cluttered background, so had to get creative. Comments welcome Thanks for looking
Fran

Interesting approach, Fran, well done! I understand about walking about your neighborhood taking photos of your neighbors' plants.

Thanks Mike. Your neighbors know you, my daughter's do not. I am getting some wary looks

They all wore for me, but especially number two.

I believe it's a primrose, though I only know them flowering early in spring. They come in many colors and are available for sale at my grocery store in March

Love your treatments, especially #2. Those textures are great.

My neighbors already know I'm nuts, so welcome to the club!

Frank, so glad you liked them. #2 is definitely more textural

Linda, thanks for the ID. I'm going to have to look them up. I'm in Oregon, maybe there is a later flowering version. Thanks for the compliments. I do like the textures in 2, which is why I was drawn to keeping that edit

Very creative and interesting processing on all three. Can always find beauty in the simplest of things.

I agree. I think they are primrose (or primula, don’t know the difference just heard that name as well). They are a spring flower in the northeast though.
Enjoy your grandchildren! Maybe you can go to Iceland once you’re free of child duty. Dream on at least!!
BTW, nice images.

Thanks Ken, there doesn't seem to be any consensus here on the favorite, which is just fine
