My first (and last) Wedding photography experience - update.

I shot weddings for 32 years. Assuming that you want to do your absolute best, people have no idea how much work shooting a wedding is.
I too shot weddings and Mitzvahs for 32 plus years with well over thousand under my belt and know I have the knowledge to do them still but but definitely not the energy. I enjoyed them at the time but I don't miss them now. I agree with the comments that all the experienced ex pros have made.
I've done a bunch.
REMIND all these people that this is for posterity! Them, their kids and grandkids!
Most of the aholes were older female relatives trying to run the operation.
Had a priest who took the opportunity to put women in their place. For @ an hour.
Another didn't like all those "extra" people in the church. And the cameras.
A few "almost a mom" weddings.
Yeah, it's all day. Know that.
I liked doing it a lot more with digital.
I had already purchased albums and mini books.
Hurry up and PP the best photos, send out for prints.
Hand those out at the next day brunch before everybody leaves.
