That time again...
... and observations made.
Every month I drive to north Arkansas to see my Dad... this time, I drove my pickup and can make the 500-mile run on a single tank of fuel... no stops... and with crappy weather, no photo stops either- or slowing down. So, I shoot what I see from the driver's seat... pickin's are slim... Acres and acres of sunburned and dead corn in south Arkansas and north Louisiana, and acres and acres of fields too wet and mud sloppy to tend in Mississippi. It rains every day in south Louisiana- Mississippi, too... too much rain. Need to talk to the "Big Guy" 'bout a more practical distribution of water.

These are really nice. How do you do a 5 shot panorama while driving?

Fantastic set of images!!
But I'm glad I don't have to drive where you live!!
I wouldn't want to be the person behind you as you weave across the median taking photos
Intriguing shots, nonetheless. Will save my views on climate change for a different forum...

THANKS! Barbara!
The panorama was done much like aerial mapping: instead of photographing from a single point and directing the camera in an arc, the camera is remains at one orientation and is moved along the subject. The only problems are keeping that camera orientation while remaining a constant distance from the subject.
Rongnongno explored this technique here on the Hog -
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-685810-1.html - and used the term "linear panorama". Sounds logical and practical in many cases... such as aerial mapping... or blowing down the highway... I'll be trying it again!

HA! Mike, you're the one on a beautiful tour and I'm enjoying YOUR photos (though, they do make me homesick) Thanks for taking time out of your schedule to have a look!!
