Ok, it isn't forgiveness, it is transferring the debt to those who didn't sign up for it and promise to repay it and don't owe it. How is that fair? Anyone able to explain how that is right?

It's not a right, since it places costs on other citizens. It's rightly called a "privilege".

No telling how long the program will last, though. As much as I detest Pelosi, she stated last year that the President could not forgive debt. Only Congress has the power of the purse strings. I'm guessing this fiasco will end up in court in the near future.

Someone always pays the debt owed. In this case it will be us as we are our brothers' keeper according to the Democrat Manifesto.

Impossible to either rationally explain, or justify.

That must be why all our friends on the left are silent.

You should have signed up for it. Don't you feel like a loser now?

I happen to think the “losers” in this subject are of two extremes:

A. Those individuals who either paid off their debts, did not incur debts, or worked to be able to get their education or training, and are now being penalized by paying-off other persons debts.

And,

B. Those individuals who think it is morally defensible to get other people to pay for a debt that was willingly incurred. And who wish to renege on their debt and contracts.

My son is struggling with his car payment. He paid off his student loans. So will he get help with his car payment? Lmao. Right only lazy stupid people get help from the Dems. Underwater basket weaving must be a dying art.

The reason so many people are so far behind on student loans is that the interest is so low. So, what do you pay off first? Your high interest credit cards. With federal student loans, if you miss a payment or get behind, it's very easy to get a forbearance. So, if money is tight, pay the student loan last, or if you run out of money, just don't pay it, the government will give you a pass. Interest continues to grow, though, and as a result, that pesky loan, no matter the size, just keeps sticking around. How do I know? We had a parental loan for 13K that did exactly that until we started paying some real money on it. Paying their minimum did nothing to lower the principle.

Who is paying all of the GOP members forgiven PPP loans?

Hint, it's we the taxpayers?

As I recall, PPP loans were to help small and large businesses meet their paydays, which kept a lot of people in work. Trump started the program, Biden continued it. It benefited the economy and workers, a totally different situation from student loans.
