Just updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and all of my programs work as before. Since I just replaced my OS Laptop, I decided to try Win. 11, and I was sure I would have to recover some of my preference, but "I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS"!
If you are like me, I hate to change programs, but all my "Things" were in the same place that they were in Windows 10. So...if you are nervous, don't be. (Just be sure you Hardware meets Win. 11 requirement)

Ideally a 10 to 11 update would (should) be transparent.
My wife updated her laptop from 10 to 11 without any problems also.
Win 7 to 10/11, not quite so, major change.

The “open with …” option appears to have been removed from Windows 11 explorer. Has anyone else seen this? If so is there a workaround?

Interesting.
Open With is showing on the right-click menu on my Win 11 laptop.
When I got the computer a month or two ago I thought it had disappeared also.
But it's there. Maybe a recent update returned it?
Is your Win 11 up to date?

Addendum: If I have a file extension assigned to an application, "Open" appears above "Open with" in the drop-down list, with an icon for the assigned program(s).
