I took this picture in France under strange, sad circumstances.
A friend of mine took me for a walk and led me to a pond. There I spotted the reader and took this picture. Moments later, we stopped at the end of a dirt road, under trees.
"This is where my daughter died."
She died two years earlier, alone, of a drug and medication overdose.

I love your photograph and the story that goes with it. I imagine your friend goes to that spot often to feel close to his daughter. It is a sad story but one that goes along with positive grieving. Thank you for sharing.
