William: Glad to hear from you!

Creativ simon: Thanks for the compliments! Your assumptions on 97 are correct. Page 98 I agree with you that the small band should have been removed. I missed it when I was editing. I appreciate all your comments. The fireworks set is very good! My favorite is your first one. The last flower set is good also.

Jennifer: One of these days you will get caught up; but don’t worry about it if you don’t. Thanks for all the comments and compliments. Yes it is a Van Gogh out of SPE. It seems that I get a lot of comments about the ones I post even though I am not a particular admirer of his. You have a nice spider web. We were just remarking the other day we didn’t have the normal amount of spiders this fall.

Bb gun: I like your set on page 99 especially the third one.

Pgl: Pam, I like your flower posts today especially the first one. Thanks for the compliments on 97 and 98. Thanks for loving #1 on 98. I knew when I posted that people would either love or hate it. There is no in-between. You did a very nice job on the waterfall. I understand getting attached to the software. I had the same problem today. Your flowers are nice.

Cyan: Thanks for commenting.

RMM: It’s nice to see you posting! Your fireworks post is excellent!

Mary1946: Thanks for the compliment. I’m glad you liked it. I debated at first when I posted it as it is so different. Now I’m glad I did. Thanks for your comments.

LostHawaiian: Nice job today: I am attracted to your second image. It has a lot of action in it.

The set I am posting today is a little different. Its done in layers changing colors of various components of the image in each layer. I am curious if anyone likes them or not. Thanks to all of you we have hit another milestone with 100 pages. Congratulations to all who helped!

You created some good edits from your firework burst. I like the cubed one the best.

Thank you Mary

Yes, that's how we do fireworks around here. We put chemicals on palm trees and light 'em up. ;)

Swede - I like it....a lot!
How long did it take you to do the 1st one?
But I think I like the colors better in the second
one.

RMM - A few years ago I had a trailer in the Catskills & our next door (trailer?) neighbor used to put something in his campfire flames to bring out different colors. I think maybe it was pieces of copper pipe? or parts of a hose? I never saw exactly what he did....but it sure made for good effects!

Copper would bring out green color. Filings would be best. Other materials would give different colors.

It probably took about an hour in Photoshop. I picked images that had easy curves. Then I make a duplicate copy in layers, go back to the first layer and change the color in color balance to what I want for the background. Then I go up to the created layer and erase those portions that I want the base layer to show. Then I change the color on the 2nd layer to what I want and then duplicate it. Then erase the portion that I want to show and repeat the operation again. Those ended up with 4 or 5 layers. Its actually a pretty simple operation. Here's another a couple more that I did that way.

I like what you did. The first one lacks the vibrancy of color that the next two have. But I like the overall design of the first one the best.
