I recently purchased a Fujifilm 50R with Fuji 35-70mm. Several years ago I rented one but used my Mamiya 645 lenses on it, but was disappointed with the images. I'll see if I like it with some shooting tests.

You have just made me jealous! I am lusting after digital medium format! Used to use, and still have, a couple Mamiya 645 cameras and several lenses. I would love to make the jump to digital! When you get tired of that Fujifilm camera can you send it my way? What was the problem using the Mamiya lenses with the Fujifilm body?

I had every lens they made for my 645. When the Fuji GFX came out I thought maybe I would jump to digital medium format using an adapter and my Mamiya lenses. As a comparison I used my Sony a7R111. I tested using the Fuji with the Mamiya lens and my a7r111 with my Zeiss 24-70mm and 70-200. I was looking for best resolution. The Mamiya lenses were poorer than my Sony-Zeiss setup. I goofed and did not rent any Fuji lenses to compare. I sold all my Mamiya equipment and the a7R111 and purchased the a7Riv. Only the 110mm Mamiya lens did well. Now the there are a number of lenses for the Fuji I decided to give it a shot again.

Nice capture of those beauties.
Out of curiosity, since I recently acquired a Mamiya 645 1000s, why were you disappointed in the images from the Mamiya lenses?
