Which means the jury can assume that his testimony would have an adverse effect on his case.

i.e. guilty.

No, that's actually what a jury in the USA does. FYI, the fifth amendment applies to criminal cases. This is a civil case. Same players, different game.

OK so everybody that has even pleaded the fifth should be automatically be assumed as guilty? And you wonder why people say Democrats act like Nazi's.

From what I have read today a jury in a civil case is allowed to look at taking the fifth in a negative way, but not so in a criminal case.

I also read the only question Trump answered in the deposition was what is your name. He then invoked the fifth to every question asked...for a total of approx. 440 times. Both his son Eric and Weisselberg took the fifth over 500 times when they were deposed.

In contrast Don Jr. and Ivanka supposedly answered the questions they were asked.

I guess you just don't know the constitution. The 5th Amendment applies only to a criminal case not a civil case unless it can later be used in criminal case. In reality he gave up the right to tell his side of story in this civil case. The walls are closing in.

Lets get rid of our system and have trials by public opinion. Who needs it when we have so many people who know everything?

Hey dummy. Why don't you try reading the thread before you want to do a mic drop on somebody. I readily admitted I was wrong about that aspect.
