Foreground and midground placements and such are fine --or are maybe better than fine-- as is, but did the cloudless portion of the sky really have to go to black?

Thanks, Don. I love clouds, when we get them. This, sort of, puts the house in a very secondary role in the photograph.

We get those cloud about twice a year. I tend to take advantage of that when I can.

To answer your question, probably not. I tend to like the contrast difference. I will keep your question in mind when I process my future photos.
