Should you post images that are not yours on the UHH forrum without saying they are not yours?

Speaking for myself I never would. Don't think it should be allowed I just don't know UHH could find out.

No. Credit should be given. A few years ago there were some hack artists who literally stole
other photographers work and called it their own. They used the euphemism, appropriation.
Just my two cents.

I would not either. When I'm here, I'm looking at every image, assuming they are from every member here.

Absolutely not! IMO, posting an image anywhere that is not yours without the permission of the owner and not giving credit is just plain stealing.

I asked because someone on the UHH does a lot of that and so often.

I occasionally post images that I have not taken/processed. However, I will note this is not my work or something to that effect.

That would be pseudo plagiarism in my view.

Seems like a PM to admin might be in order. A thread on the topic will just get a lot of 'me too' responses.

Some of the photos are "stock," right, or tv captures? The person I believe you're referencing may suffer medical issues and not be fully aware.

I agree you should send a pm to user name ADMIN if you feel that there is intention to deceive and this user knowingly violates the rules.

I believe if you review the FAQ / Sticky guidelines for the Photo Gallery, you'll find a reference saying the images should be images you took.

Yes. However, people do sometimes post photos that a spouse or offspring shot - and mention that in the opening. Long ago, a couple of times I sent a "report issue" to Admin on those, referencing his own rules. Alas, he chose to allow them.

There are also occasional "I saw this on Facebook/other" postings in Gallery.
