Fujifilm S-4000 bridge camera. HELP!

My camera was working fine until it wasn't (a week ago). When I turn the power on, I get this error message: "Turn camera off and on again." When I do that, the same message displays. There appears to be no way out of the endless loop. I can't find any reference to a factory reset or equivalent in the user manual. There are several references to the word "reset," but they are only for certain data points. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Alan

From web search:

Press the [V/ dial down] button to highlight the “SETUP”, which is represented by a wrench icon Press the [>/ dial right] button to place the cursor in the setup menu. highlight “RESET” and press the [>/ dial right] button

Hope this helps!

Good day.
Another option would be Fuji Film Tech Support.

Thanks to you I reached Fuji tech support. Found out that removing the batteries for 24 hours is very close to a factory reset. I'm trying it now. If that doesn't work, I can use it as a very effective paperweight. Happily, there are a fair number of them on ebay for around $50.
