This was a grab shot of my wife's cat. I didn't realize the ISO was at 51,200. When i downloaded it is when I realized my mistake. So instead of deleting it, I tried to see what I could do with it. Everything was done in LR.

I was surprised with the results. Thou not perfect I thought the results were pretty good.
The subject is charming, its expression delightful, the setting fun and interesting.
Results aren't bad considering the handicap you were working under

Linda, that is why I took the shot. If it came out ok I was going to post it in the gallery. Tltled “Get me outta here”. When I blow it up to 100%. I was surprised until I realized what I had done. I have never taken a shot with an ISO of 51,000.
Really good work, Frank! Cute cat.
Thanks for the double thumps up.
Are you open to another editing technique for this cat picture?

Yes, I first do all my edits in LR, so I know this not the only route. I was just pleasantly surprised that it could handle the high ISO.I do not have any other software besides PS.
I was curious to see what Topaz sharpen could do. May I try it and post the results?
Here is what I came up with. One pass through Topaz Sharpen, back to PS for a slight lightening. The cat in my pic is not quite as sharp as yours, but I think the rest of the result is quite comparible. I hope you agree. I have just started using Topaz, and am impressed how easy it is to improve an image

I do like how the cat came out in your version. There is more contrast. Her eyes are clearer and that may be why i like your results. On the stairs to my eyes, I am not seeing a whole lot of difference. But one pass does make it convenient. If you look at my ordinal post, I had to do quite a few steps.
Thank you for sharing. Much appreciated.
