Hoping that you mean taking photos of bald eagles!!!
I havent shot there, but do photograph at the Circle B Bar Reserve. At this time of year, I'm expecting a lot of the eagles wouldnt be there...Typically I find more mid November to late April with the babies....In any case, bring plenty of water, possibly a monopod depending on your lens & also bug repellent.
No idea which 3 lakes you are referring to, but if you want to see eagles in FL year round, go to the local county landfill (dump). You just need to watch your backgrounds if bird is perched. In Sarasota, it is just off I-95 at Laurel Rd.

Oops! Right you are. I still can’t shake my NY roots.

Are you talking about Celery Fields? A great birding site.
I go to the dump off Laurel Rd a lot. No eagles there recently. Some at the italian american club in the wintertime.
I have not been to 3-Lakes in several years now - but I do know there are Eagles around there and Owls too. Not far away (down the road) is Joe Overstreet landing - and there ARE Eagles around there if you can catch them at the right times. Do a search for Joe Overstreet Eagles - you should see a lot !
.
I thought they were protected and you weren’t suppose to shoot them. 😂

No, the landfill is different from Celery Field, but of course Celery Field is one of the premier spots in the Sarasota area to view birds. But truth is that pretty much everywhere here along the gulf coast from Tampa south past Naples toward the Everglades offer exceptional birding. DeSoto Park, Felts Preserve, Manatee County landfill, Venice rookery, Sarasota landfill, Myakka State Park, Ft. Myers and Naples Beaches, Cape Coral for its burrowing owls, Ding Darling, Corkscrew Sanctuary, and on and on. My home overlooks a small lake in a tiny town park that is home to every type water bird imaginable including many species of duck, egret and heron, spoonbills, cormorants, anhingas, ibis, pelicans, osprey and even bald eagles and wood storks on occasion. (Not to mention dozens of pretty fair sized turtles and several resident gators.) And my feeder attracts numerous songbirds as well as downy, hairy and even an occasional pileated woodpeckers. And I’ve just identified my faves on west coast. If bird photography is your thing, FL is the place to be. Almost anywhere on the map. Certain times of year are better for specific species, but you can always find lots of birds in FL.
Can you share your town park?

Sure. It is actually a county park in South Sarasota county.

But keep in mind that any lake (man made or natural) in FL is often a birder's paradise. Are you from Sarasota?
Here a several photos I took on that lake from my kitchen chair.

BTW - The last one demonstrates that birds are not the only interesting subjects in that park. Ah....to be young.
