Hi all!
Just a heads up! I'll be attending this free NYC cultural event this Sunday, July 24th, Noon to 4 PM in Union Square Park. As in the past, it will be a great photo opportunity. For more info: Google search: 2022 NYC Bodypainting Day.

Nudity is legal in NYC as long as it is deemed non sexual…at least that’s my understanding of the law.

Nudity is legal as an art form. Zoe West (a model I've photographed several times) was body painted in Times Square and arrested. Ron Kuby, a civil rights lawyer defended her and won the case and they settled for $15K.

Due to "equal rights," women have won the right to go bare-chested without being arrested. Good enough for men, good enough for women. Through the years since that lawsuit, there have been a number of demonstrations and rallies here in NYC with bare-chested women several times for various causes.
Beginning in 2014, NYC has held annual Bodypainting Days and it attracts thousands.
