Hello to all,

I am in the process of forming a nonprofit 501 c 3 dog rescue. Does anyone know of software to create a logo?

DAGS (Do A Google Search) for "dog Logo" and click for images. You will get a million or so ideas to get you started.
Use any photo editing software to create one of your own.

I use https://express.adobe.com/sp. Scroll down to "Logo" templates.

If your 501 C3 has a budget, consider hiring a graphic designer. A logo is an essential piece of any organization.
You don't want it looking amateurish. A logo is a crucial part of branding. Don't go the cookie-cutter approach.

Thank you for your replies.

I've done google searches but would rather not have to do stock logos. I'd like to start from scratch. Is there any software out there that would let me create my own logo, included in it, non-animated dog photos?

Give Inkscape a try. It's free and has many features useful for creating logos from scratch.

Inkscape is an Open Souce (meaning free to the public) vector software. It is the Open Source version comparable to Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer and a host of others. It is a great choice for casual as well as advanced users. There is a wealth of tutorials on YouTube including those on logo design to provide you with inspiration for your design. I've been a user of it and several others and I highly recommend it.

I just used an app called Fivrr. It's not free but very reasonable. I only wanted a signature logo but they can do all types.

The lead I gave you https://express.adobe.com/sp allows you to start with a logo template and modify any part of it including the background, photo, text, fonts, colors, etc.
