Here's one of mine taken in January 2010 right after the blizzard. Believe it or not, that is the road in front of my place. Yup...I was snowed in for six days...no complaints! <Laf'n>

the lens flare really adds to the shot, the color is vibrant, i really enjoyed this photo. It serves as a reminder of why im in only state in the uniom not to receive any snow last year florida now.

Hee Hee. I was driving from Nebraska to California one year. When I got to the Arizona/California state line inspection station, I was asked if I had any fruit in my vehiche. I told the guy, "I thought all the fruits were in CA." Fortunately for me, the guy had a good sense of humor.
didn't see anyone else showing pics with you[got onto fruit orchards of calif.LOL],,,so thought I would add some[they are hard to catch. mine are aunatural so not as spectacular as yours..--joe
Here's a bit of a sun-dog that'll make you glad you're not living in the snow/ice belt.
Brrr...
For those who are not familiar with a "sun dog," they are ice crystals that appear on either side of the sun like parenthesis ( * ). Here's a description from Wikipedia:
"A sun dog or sundog (scientific name parhelion, plural parhelia, from Greek parēlion (παρήλιον) from παρά (beside) + ἥλιος (sun), "beside the sun"; also called a mock sun[1] or a phantom sun[2]) is an atmospheric phenomenon that creates bright spots of light in the sky, often on a luminous ring or halo on either side of the sun[3].
"Sundogs may appear as a colored patch of light to the left or right of the sun, 22° distant and at the same distance above the horizon as the sun, and in ice halos. They can be seen anywhere in the world during any season, but they are not always obvious or bright. Sundogs are best seen and are most conspicuous when the sun is low."
oops... I guess by definition my Burr picture isn't a Sun-Dog after all. I stand corrected...sit corrected, actually. But I'll stand up if you want me to. What threw me off was that 22 degrees. I could have sworn it was 22.5 degrees.
