well thanks Mangles, I suppose it all matters with what part of the country you come. or came from when you talk "cherry" about a car. Kind of like pop and soda. "Cherry" didn't imply all original for us, it kind of had the same meaning as if you referred to a car as "mint." I also meant it as a play on the color of the car, "cherry red." Now let's not go down that rathole being that there are 28 different varieties of cherries and not all colors will be perfectly the same

I agree with you autofocus. In my 70 something years being around cars "cherry" always meant mint or pristine.

yep, I think we would say, "all original," or "all stock" if a car wasn't modified in any way.
