Excellent photos! One thing I like about the US is the numerous car shows everywhere where old car fans have brought back these marvelous machines to show-room condition. Often these shows are free for us to browse and take photos, reminding us of the way it used to be...

Agreed. And I have often thought that back then when driving and you tooted your horn to someone in another car, yo weren't so much recognizing that person, as you were really recognizing the car itself.

I had a 1950 Ford like the one in the first photo. Mine was dark green. It had dual glass pack mufflers, fender skirts, and baby moon hubcaps. Boy, would I like to have that car today.
