The 'Boat Tail' is the latest addition to the range, priced at $28 million. Just the vehicle to go and have a sail and a picnic! Have a look at it on You Tube!

Very nice looking motor car, but only 3 will ever be made.

One concern would be the price of standard replacement OEM parts - brakes, spark plugs, oil filters. I've decided against buying a Rolls Royce.

If you are one of the three lucky people to land one, I daresay in a few year's time...and it doesn't clock any miles, you could sell it on for a tidy profit!

I'm glad you mentioned that jerry...very valid points, so we have decided to stick with our 17 plate ford fiesta.

We used to spend time in NH during the summer - by Lake Winnipesaukee. This was shortly after "On Golden Pond" came out. There was a dealer of old Chris Craft and Garwood boats who said that before the movies appeared, he couldn't give them away. After the movie, he sold them for thousands.

Trivia: In building those old Chris Crafts, the workers aligned all the slots in the screw heads to point the same way.

I worked next to the Wolverton railway carriage works, they did that with the screws around the wooden window frames. The age of Craftsmanship. Nowadays my fifty year old eldest boy makes bespoke car bodies in aluminium and steel to similar standards - but they will cost you a fortune!

"Bespoke" gave away your English heritage. That a word we seldom use here. We would say "custom." : )

Cordless screwdrivers don't care which way the screw is facing.

If you care about cost at all then the RR is just not for you.

But there are those who replace their Rolls when the ash tray fills up! (Not I, however. I only can afford a Honda bike.)

I'd rather pay a butler and a maid.

When my daughter gets in line to pick up her kids from school, there is frequently a Rolls Royce SUV in line as well. Didn't know they made an SUV. If I were going to shell out the money, it would certainly not be for the SUV model. On the other hand, I'm sure they enjoy theirs.
