Funny thing is, the people LSU is trying not to offend are going to be offended by something. Doesn't matter what it is. They're trying to "please everyone" and that's just stupid!
I'm offended by stupidity, except my own.
LSU is my pride - but not this. This is were freedom ends for us all. If you can take away our religion, you take away everthing.

Unfortunately the freedoms of this once great nation does not believe in freedom of religion. This is why our country is in the sad state of affairs that it is in.
Definitely a sad state of affairs when "Freedom OF Religion" has been turned into "Freedom FROM Religion" !!
Time for the AMERICAN masses to take back their own country!

Yup. Problem is that that pesky constitution of the US of A guarantees that the taxpayers of Louisiana (which funds the school) don't have to pay for any propaganda for any particular religion, or any religion at all. When this country was founded, it's citizenry DID want freedom from state sponsored religion - that's why they left their countries.

The constitution guarantees Freedom OF Religion, NOT Freedom FROM Religion! The Courts have become activists instead of interpreting the Constitution AS IT WAS WRITTEN and INTENDED!!

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Means you can't use my tax dollars to promote your make-believe bs religion. That's why I'm proud to be an American.

You are not proud to be an American, your proud to be a Socialist. The US Government can not establishment a religion of its own, much like the healthcare, and make people worship that religion only. No religion care force the Government to pass laws to force its people to live a certain live style like the Muslims do. However, The US government can not tell its people where, when, how and what it may worship which they are doing now. Those boys go to LSU and its games. Someone took the picture and LSU used that picture to promote future games and the campus. But to do what they did to not offend someone is wrong. They offended me by doing so.
This has nothing to do with the Federal Government, but it has everything to do with some stupid guy or gal at LSU.
Who cares!

By your own words "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". This "bs religion" you speak of has been around for over 2,000 years with plenty of archeological artifacts to give creedence to the existence of Christ.
How do you know that your tax dollars were used to print some tiny little crosses on some college kid's T-shirts? Maybe they printed them up on their own. Even if they didn't, do you really feel that the money spent is going to send you to the poor house?
Good grief. Get a life

The clause 'free exercise thereof' protects not just religious beliefs but actions made on behalf of those beliefs. Removing those expressions (actions; painted cross) is just another form of our/their freedoms being censored while trying to be PC.
You should be proud to be an American - our laws allow you to come to a public forum such as this and condemn others for their beliefs while making a fool of yourself.

You do. You responded to the post, you have an opinion because you do care. However, we all know what that opinion is but so be it.

I wonder how these people would feel if a Muslem symbol was there in place of the cross?
