Today that storm would be a national news event, a harbinger of the some climate disaster in just a few days and the fault of some industry. In those days, it was a snow storm.

Not only would it be a national news event, but the citizens of the city would be asking when the snow would be cleared.

Now days any snow is a storm, back then a foot or two was a storm. It was considered winter it comes once a year about the same time.
