Visited Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, Virginia as part of a Project Healing Waters event.They had the hanger with the original Air Force 1 open. It was first used by President Eisenhower. It was restored enough for flight in Arizona then flown to Bridgewater where is going through a complete restoration to original condition. Pics with either cell phone or canon powershot A710. Wasn't sure if pictures would be allowed so did not have the big cameras.
We visited the Reagan AF One on display at the museum in Simi Valley, CA. I’m not sure what I expected but it’s safe to say I was “underwhelmed”. It was very cramped and purely functional in design. I suspect today’s versions have been upgraded a bit😊
Lockheed Constellation - probably the most beautiful aircraft design ever.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
One of the great aircraft designs.
That is a beautiful airplane, always loved watching the Conis fly out of the Toronto Airport many years ago as a kid. Back in the 80's I went through another plane used by the president at the Pina Air Museum.
By the way it only becomes Airforce One when a president is on it.
Dubbed Columbine by Dwight.

Immigrated to the US on a Connie from Luxembourg back in mid 1950s.
There are You Tube videos about the trials and travails of bringing the bird in the shots "home". Fascinating and interesting.
(PS., The one I flew in had all of its feathers.
)
At the Museum of the US Air Force, located at Wright Patterson AFB near Dayton Ohio they have a Presidential Gallery of planes used by FDR, Truman, Ike and the plane that carried President Kennedy's body back from Dallas.
If you areever near Dayton, the museum is a must see for aviation buffs. Plan on spending several hours and doing a lot of walking. There are four buildings to tour. Recommend bringing a flash as the lighting is not the best for photography.
