I would be happy to Thom when you could string together more than three brain synapses and bring more to the table than your leftist dogma. Because this has been the topic of more than one thread on this forum. Or don't you remember as you were right there? With you it is just another oft-repeated topics like - JPEG vs Raw, Reach, DSLR vs Mirrorless.
You Are An Idiot Every Day Of The Week. So why should today be any different?

So you are unable to answer Thom's question. Fair enough.

Trying to explain something to a rock is a waste of time so I don't bother. Biden's anti-fossil fuel policies are well documented. You would do well to do some research on this yourself. Obviously your head is in the sand as well. As usual.

True pearls from an oyster anchored on the bottom of the abyssal plain. Of course you don't believe the oil companies are price gouging. Speaking rock to rock.

I did not say it was the only reason. You pubicans are so quick to jump to incorrect conclusions. The Ukraine war had nothing to do with it. Right? Nor did the OPEC decision to slow oil production brought about by your illustrious chief and leader. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-global-oil-trump-saudi-specialreport/special-report-trump-told-saudi-cut-oil-supply-or-lose-u-s-military-support-sources-idUSKBN22C1V4

As I recall gas prices were somewhere around $2.00 per gallon during Trump’s tenure.

Mine is accurate. Like I said, somewhere around $2.00. What's your point other than to prove that prices under Bidens watch are out of sight and going higher?

Older folks were taught that if you want to get a bank loan, you should have the resources and the personal responsibility to pay back the loan.

Joe Biden wants to teach the young folks that if you get a loan, you don’t need the resources nor the personal responsibility to pay it back, because the government will forgive your loan.

Because Biden is a Democrat, he my postpone student debt forgiveness until after the mid term elections. Stay tuned.

Of course you pubicans blame Biden. Oil company price gouging, OPEC slowdown, transportation difficulties are solely in Biden's purview. Get your head out of the sand.

The loans were at onetime a lot looser than they are now. They were also a lot stricter than they are now. We had to have a 1/3 down and paid over 12% when purchasing our last house. Being this old allows some perspective on the fluctuations in the environment t and not to be blamed on either left or right except when it suits the purpose to “own” the other side in an argument.

Mortgages are very different than school loans.

If you look at the groupings of people who are in line for student loan forgiveness, they include people who have been deemed disabled and on SS (those loans aren’t ever going to be paid back by the recipient, so take them off the books as an uncollectible debt), students from institutions that closed down before degrees could be earned from there and credits weren’t transferable, and government workers (if the government needs extra incentives to attract workers, those costs should be their budget; not in the loan program). Forgiving these should be all cost neutral to taxpayers.

They are talking about forgiving $10,000 for each person who still has student loans. And, there is no way they should forgive loans because someone goes to work for the government. Those who are disabled I get that, but that can't be a very big group, unless they went to college when they were disabled. And, how do you figure that the 5.6 billion they are projecting for those who attended Corinthian colleges cost neutral. 5.6 billion is a lot of money. It's their own fault they chose to attend college at a place that was clearly not honest.
