I have had 2 camera bodies repaired due to accidents and when they come back they look like new out of the box. Nothing leaves there unless it is as per their specs. I take up to 10 days to get it back.

The last woreds I received about my D700 is that the camera is obsolete and parts are no longer available. Looks like landfill in this part of the world

Not the landfill I hope. The older camera bodies still go for hundreds of dollars as part donors. I know my D850 will use parts from the D850, D810, D800, D4, D500, D7100, D7200. I keep an Ebay watch for these bodies in case a steal comes up.
