Bridges, before you spend $ on 32GB that may or may not work, how about posting the serial number of your HP here, so that we may check HP?

I have been seeing ads that state DDR5 is 50% faster than DDR4 memory. Looking at my computer specs, could someone tell me if this computer is capable of using DDR5 memory. Thanks to all who answer. I know we have some very good computer people here on the Hogg.

I have been seeing ads that state DDR5 is 50% fast... (show quote)

DDR5 is theoretically faster. However, Toms Hardware has done testing and for most things they have not found a difference from fast DDR4 which is a lot cheaper. Only the latest Intel Adler Lake processors do DDR5. BTW 8G of memory is not adequate. More memory will be more important than DDR5.
