Groovy... Your positive comment has compelled me to frame it... Thanks
If I was doing it I would have added a very soft shadow for the golf ball. It's as if the shadow of the ball was added. The soft shadow can still be added-try it. I may be wrong, but it just seems to need this something.
If that was my ball, it was headed for the water!
Now that photo by Abo, my friends, and foes is a striking [pun not intended] photo composition.
1. Action... like a bulette streaking across the screen the ball is moving and leaving us a trail.
2. A small area, the ball's shadow, and a bit of green and black, 10 wide 8 high is a summary of the whole.
3. The black to green gradient transition is superbly done.
4. The black negative space vs green positive space is well balanced.
"Because understanding the visual image is understanding the realm in which the psyche of the photographer and viewer intersect. Psychological principles about perception, emotion, creativity, personal identity, interpersonal communication, and human relationships help explain how we create visual images, how we share them, and how people react to what they see. Psychology can also help clarify the personality and social factors that shape the vocation and avocation of photography."

This photo by Abo belongs in the Artistic section, not the Gallery.
That is an awesome photo. Never seen one like it before. Looks like it was shot across a billiard table.
That’s a nice one. I agree--frame it!
This one is both done well and is a nice, unique alternative from the rest of what I have seen here today. It’s always nice to see someone shake things up a bit from the usual offerings.
You should see if Callaway would like to buy it! . . . . . . . . . And then frame it.
