I spent a few days at the Tulip Festival in Mt Vernon, WA. It was fun going to the fields to watch for a sunset then getting up early to check for a sunrise. One of the gardens allowed dogs so we took the crew for a great time.

I had a Murphy as well. She was a Westie (West Highland White Terrier). Got her at 8 weeks and she passed away at 14 (from cancer). Named her after Murphy Brown TV series.
She taught me all about unconditional love. What an amazing animal. I will never forget her.

My Murphy was a Golden Retriever I adopted from the local pound when he was about 1 year old. He was a very good boy but not the sharpest tool in the shed. He did, however, have a great understanding about being calm and gentle around seniors and disabled. Retriever may have been part of his name but not part of his skill set....unless it was a snowball. He would have been 16 on April 1. I miss him every day.

Thanks for sharing your Murphy with me.

Sometimes those not the sharpest tool can make the best buddy in the world. Hopefully, you will find another to love.
