Rather an odd pose to me. Perhaps you have more of her; she looks like a good model.

Large Areola suggests she has been a mom. Indeed a firm figure. The left hand [rt of photo] is well-posed, the left hand should have been hidden or fully revealed... hum, little cloning work would do the trick since this is perhaps a classic film shot digitized.

Beautiful model Harry, you did good work, well shot .. good lighting, and camera angle.

Your rationale that this young woman "has been a mom" is THE most fat-fetched and incorrect statement ever made on the UHH!!!!! I have known many aeolus as these and NONE were indicators of motherhood. Your knowledge of anatomy needs some attention.

Your comment prompted me to look into this, and I found a very interesting study that supports the "photographic rule of thirds."

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352587819300440

Abstract
Background
Breast surgery often requires changing the diameter of the areola. Recommended areolar size is commonly based on population averages, or surgical judgement. An ideal areola size has not been previously been described. We hypothesized that the ideal areolar diameter would be proportional to two breast measurements not commonly altered during breast surgery: the nipple diameter and breast base width.

Methods
‘The Sun’ newspaper (London, UK) publishes photographs of topless models which are selected based on the aesthetic appeal of their non-operated breasts. The publication's archive, from March 2014 to January 2017, was independently reviewed by three authors to identify photographs that presented a clear anterior view of the breast. The base width, nipple diameter and areolar diameter were measured independently by each reviewer. Measurements were pooled, and the mean was included for analysis. Ratios of the areolar diameter to the base width and the nipple diameter were calculated.

Results
The photographs of 58 models were eligible for inclusion. The average areolar diameter to base width was 0.29 (SD = 0.05). The average nipple to areolar diameter was 0.29 (SD = 0.06).

Conclusions
In aesthetically pleasing breasts, the areolar diameter is proportional to both the breast base width and nipple diameter. Breast base width is commonly measured preoperatively in aesthetic breast procedures, and is not typically modified. Breast base width can therefore be used to determine the ideal areolar size using the ratio of areola:base width ratio of 0.29 identified in this study.

Personally, I would have preferred a more "hands on" approach to the methodology!!

As for changes in size with pregnancy, there might be slight increases in diameter, but most changes are related to colour and texture.

I wish I could supply these, but I can't. Given that they did their study from of "The Sun" newspaper I suggest you look at the media for yourself; there is plenty of stuff on the web. Heck, even here on UHH you will have plenty of material from which to conduct your own study.

Better yet, show us a few shots of you doing your study "hands on" using rulers and callipers to get the relevant measurements. It would not surprise me that the rule of thirds would be borne out.

EDIT: I did a quick look for collages on the web...

Harry, I hope you don't mind me answering the query.

Having seen hundreds of pairs of breasts in close proximity, it is my professional opinion that there is nothing unusual about this example. While they are not some peoples’ cuppa tea (mine included), they are far from unusual and, indeed, common to come across. Despite our personal predilections, let us not disparage a young lady and her very natural endowments. Rather, let us celebrate her support and inclusion in the fine art of nude photography. As a naturist I believe that every type of body should be accepted. I believe that I coined this phrase many years ago: “the sun is not to be reserved for the beautiful people, it should shine equally on everyone who seeks it.”

Now this photograph is okay but could do with some improvements to be considered very good. It looks like the author under exposed it to a high degree and didn’t account for that in his development as suggested by the extra large grain. The pose is okay by amateur standards, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Again, inclusiveness. We need amateurs because they often keep learning and turn into intermediates and maybe professional photographers. I would think that the shooter did this shot in his salad days and is just presenting it now. Good for him and I’d like to see some of his contemporary work.

You have seen my work. As I said this was shot on Agfa 400 speed color film and cropped some... hence the grain and exposure levels and color are relatively unchanged from the original download.

Yes Harry, I have no beef with your work. I have seen it and for the most part I like it. Your high contrast studies show your willingness to work outside the box. I like that. I was just commenting on this photo. I think you shot it quite early in your career. Am I right or must I stand corrected?

I do stand corrected. And you're right that I'm not fond of this particular shot. I hate to say that to anyone, but it seems that I've been backed into a corner. The added shot is much nicer, in my opinion.

I just wish that the total left side of her face is not blacked out. Otherwise quite good.
