I discovered a new jazz pianist (to me)

I was on Facebook looking at a musician's page. I have seen his Nonet band perform several times. He's on FB everyday and frequently posts links to videos. I also found a video of her with the vibraphonist, Terry Gibbs. She plays piano on the former Steve Alan Show and switches to a duel on vibraphones with Terry Gibbs. Notice Steve Alan on piano.

I'm still working on Emmett Cohen!
You don't see those bangy things (xylophones) much anymore. I had one when was a kid.
When I see them playing the piano like that, I always wonder: is that music written down, or is it just improvised? It must be improvised.

Thank you, Joe!! Jazz Vibraphone is synonymous with Terry Gibbs, Lionel Hampton and of course Milt Jackson. Incredible jazz artists.
