Excuse me, but there is a lot more to life than SoCaNikony!

I used Canon and Nikon for decades. But now I’m a 7-year Lumix user with no regrets.

Herd mentality is what will kill humanity…

Good for you, I use my Pentax6X7 w/B&W film more than my Nikon D200 these days.

Actually that was a Sarcastic comment... I shoot more with my Olympus kit than anything else lately... Light, weather resistant, superlative lenses and SUPER superlative stabilization.... I don't need to crop that much and only print a few anyway... MFT fits the bill for me.

Same here. I have no regrets using it. The advantages are numerous. Disadvantages are few.

I'll probably get a GH6 this year to replace the GH4. It is a beast of a video camera and no slouch as a stills camera.

It's okay... My sarcasm detector's a little weak!

No prob. Bill... Just did not want to give you the wrong impression. If I did a lot of video, I would prob. do some Lumix... Dying to get another body but can't decide on used EM1-ii or new EM5iii. I HATE to change lenses, esp. in the field and really need to keep my 75mm 1.8 on a body with viewfinder to chase my dogs around the property... Crazy huh...? Bob

If you can swing the new OM-1, it is a beast for stills. I haven’t seen a negative review of it yet.

Lots of reasonably priced older models are becoming available used, as people trade up to the new models. If you want that E-M1 II or E-M5 III, check KEH, MPB, UsedPhotoPro, Adorama, and B&H.

Good for you. Makes sense. If my digital were a D200 i would do the same.

Was a time when our work cameras were D200s and RB67s, two rather dislikable klunkers. A Pentax 67 wouldve been very welcome to the party.

Canon seems fastest for sports, moving wildlife, flying birds, Nikon highest resolution, greatest ability to create local contrast; both are a reduction in kit size from OVF kits. I found it easiest to transfer forward my liking for button placement with Canon; prefer the vertical rotating selector on top of Canon— Nikon's is horizontal and in front of shutter release, more difficult for arthritic fingers. Strong preference for the appearance of edited Nikon image, for hinged LCD which fits my street and flower shooting style. Finally learned that preserving the usefulness of OVF lenses, as excellent as both systems are, contributes excessively to Kit remaining too large, with too many choices. Love the Z7 viewfinder. Keeping my Oly/Lumix system for portability, entire kit, fish-eye to 600 equivalent fits in a 12-can lunch-pail cooler; Oly images are beautiful and it is possible to simultaneously get multiple identical images at 3 or more iso settings, such as 100, 200, 400.

A good analysis even though I'm a Nikon guy.
