I told my tom cat; "I'll feed you in a minute"...
and I swear he replied; "Nowwwww!"

Years ago I was at my aunt's house and the cat went to the door and I swear said, "I want out."
I got in a fight with my cat, but we hissed and made up.
Many moons ago I was going out with a young lady who claimed that her cat - a Siamese - would cry out "Oh, no! He-e-e-lp!" (Not gonna try a cat accent here) when it (the cat!) was in heat. 🔥🙀🔥

When I was a young lad, delivering the Sunday morning newspapers on my route before dawn , I heard a baby crying. Upon investigation, I found the sound was coming from deep down inside a very dark basement stairwell. Convinced the crying baby was down in that stairwell I ran home to get my Mom. We went back to the stairwell with a flashlight. Upon shining the light down into that dark abyss…..two cats jumped out!
One son and daughter-in-law have a cat with whom they have conversations. They have no children so the cat substitutes. Shortly after I had bsck surgery, they sent a video of them asking the cat if she wanted "grandpa" to get well soon and clearly the cat replied "yeah."
HOHIMER--heard the same sounds from a cat(s) in the bushes in front of my house. Very disturbing until you find out it is a cat.

We had a Dachshund. My daughter got a kitten. They did not speak.
The doxie viewed it with disdain. She considered it a "Defective Dog".
