One of the first things one learns in high school debate is to win the argument over the definition of terms. If you get your opponent to agree to your terms, you will probably win the contest.

The survey you cite is L.L. Bean's annual sales figures. Removing you head will allow fresh air to your brain will solve your oxygen deprivation. Give it a try.

Not so sure that your Prime Minister is taking your country down the right path.

That comment could imply that you know the right path, but we both know that no one really knows the right path... for any government! He has made a few decisions that I might not agree with, but overall I think he is doing a good job in the role. I don't have good feelings about the options.

How's he doing on freedom of the press? Seems that he is attempting to squash his critics.

To be honest with you, I don't know anything about that issue. But it sounds like what any politician would want to do with bad press. If you are referring to freedom of speech issues, I do believe there should be some limitations on what the press can say; hate speech and outright falsehoods need to be managed in some manner, either by being banned or flagged.

Believe it or not, I really am not a political person. I have never followed politics in sincerity. But ever since Trump entered the fray I have become interested in US politics because it is entertaining... like a reality show. As another comparison, the 6 Jan Committee work is important, but it is proceeding at the pace of a soap opera. I wish they would just get on with it... and nail Trump, of course!!

Unfortunately, whatever happens in the US is very important to other countries, especially Canada. So truth be told, I probably know more about US politics now than I do about Canadian politics. My rather-uninformed-on-most-issues vote means little against the rest, so I count on others who do care about Canadian issues to make a good choice, and I believe in the democratic principle of majority rule. I will vote in the next election, but I really don't have grave concerns about our future if the "wrong" party gets in.

In the meantime I continue to follow and enjoy the daily episodes of "Trump... and Friends" as it plays out.

To be honest with you, I don't know anything about... (show quote)

Canada is licensing media outlets and although you may not like the "Rebel News" outlet I have only read of couple of their stories and did not detect any false reporting... They will not be licensed under the new regulations which will pretty much for all practical purposes censor them from the public as Canada will require big tech to down rank non licensed outlets while up ranking licensed outlets, they will also be subjected to a different tax status than licensed outlets.... This is censorship pure and simple, certainly something that should never be supported in a democracy, Trudeau is silencing critics....

From an interview with the founder of Rebel News......

"Trudeau plans to "compel" Big Tech to down-rank non-licensed journalists and change the Income Tax Act to punish them"........ "We're not banned yet, although we are banned from government events, as you said earlier. But I'm worried that he's done all this in two years. The worst is yet to come. He may well ban us yet,"
