Have you seen or heard of Post Modern Jukebox? They take modern songs and give them a 30’s and 40’s style arrangement. I saw them last month. Allison Young performed with them. Check out Allison Young “Stardust” on Youtube. Awesome voice I think.

The Postmodern Jukebox group takes modern songs and rearranges them. I included info on Allison Young just to demonstrate her voice. Look up “All About That Bass” by PMJ on Youtube

Thanks for the info. Bebop, used that technique of taking current standards and rearranging them. One example was “How High the Moon” and “Scrapple for the Apple”
