Hard to say without having them in a photo program to scroll back in forth aa little faster. But one of the last 3. The top 2, the purple/violet flower on the left seems a little over exposed & shows less detail.

Manglesphoto, I prefer the first one for the soft lighting tends to wrap around the nettle and brings out the fine details when viewed on double download. Of course, I am viewing them on my PC and my screen illumination, saturation, viewing angle, and ambient light could be far and away different than that of others which may appear differently.

I like the 2nd image, as you can see the top leaves better with the lighting. Just my opinion. Great photos!

The only difference is there is approx. a 1 stop reduction light in each shot

Very nice. May I ask what you used for the black background, I have not found anything I like. Thanks

Thank you very much jcsnell
The back ground is out of a light tent kit, a velvet like surface but not as shiny as velvet or velveteen

Yes I sure did, and I'm still working on the diffusion, This morning I made frames to hold diffusion material and use a diffusion paper that is heat resistant. I going with ripstop nylon as soon as I get to town and buy some.

I like #2 and #4 pretty much evenly Frank. I like #2 because the lighting shows a bit more of the detail to me, but I also like#4 because of the deeper colors as well.

From my general chit chat the other day.
What started out as a simple project grew, and grew and is still growing.
However the setup takes up less floor space and in moveable.
I still have work to do on the setup but I had to test the I/Q
So far the materials for whole project has cost me nothing, all from stuff laying around the house and shop
Now to build frames to hold diffusion material and obtain a remote control stage with left-right & up down adjustments.

What say you on the Image Quality and the Quality of light? Which image do you prefer and why?
From my general chit chat the other day. br What ... (show quote)

Very good Frank.

Like the light Frank. All images came out great. What did you use for the diffusion material?
