Mostly all of my clients a Photographed in the studio..."However, sometimes I have to take lots of gear to the clients home". And one of the items I take with me is a; "Large Backdrop"!!!
I am sure most of you have had the experience of folding one of these monsters up, (And it can be bad) so I keep this VERY SHORT video bookmarked so if I feel the need for a refresher...I watch it again.
When I first watched this video many years ago, I just laughed, and thought..."IT CAN'T BE THAT EASY"!!!
But it really is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you find this hopeful.

Boone.
The same technique as folding a bandsaw blade. Learned it 50+ yrs ago.

I'm 70+ and never learned, thanks for posting
Neither Manglesphoto nor twowindsbear mentioned how many people were decapitated when those bandsaw blades suddenly took on a vengeful personality. In a like neglectful manner, Boone did not warn that people have disappeared mysteriously when folding large "green-screens." I saw a video of a weather presenter woman who had portions of her body disappear. It happened on St. Patrick’s Day, to me, every bit as disturbing as the St Valentine's Massacre.
Considering the problems I have taming my windshield sun reflectors, I will not be buying one of those large spring-loaded backdrops any time soon!!! Altho:
https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/buying-guides/best-backdrops-for-photographyNever underestimate the powers of a woman as demonstrated by a video referenced in the sidebar when looking at the post referenced video. There were other examples of how to fold backdrops ... one by a masterful lady the simply commanded the backdrop to fold itself with a few flicks of the wrist... Amazing!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlMXnMl4yLQThank you, Boone, I did not know this type of backdrop existed, mine are all just fabric hung from a bar, with your information that may change.

I just grab diagonally opposite corners and twist. Always worked for me.
