I'm going to miss Jerry's contributions to UHH. J Hopp
It has been said, before there was Photoshop there was Jerry Uelsmann.
May he rest in peace.

RIP, Jerry ! Prayers to all the family.
Creatives such as Jerry only come around once in Our Lifetimes. We should consider ourselves to be very fortunate to have had this Man to be a part of this Forum. RIP Jerry and Thank You For showing us that Creatives are doing mighty things and we might be so lucky to have one Bless Us as You Did.

He was an amazing photographer and print maker. He had more patience and persistence in the dark than most. His works will likely skyrocket in value.

I was fortunate enough to hear him speak in Chicago about 30-35 years ago in Chicago. I subsequently purchased one of his prints with I treasure.

Thank you Bob for your post. I did not know of his work but when I saw the photographs I loved his work. Very innovative and thought provoking.

William, actually Ps was available but Jerry preferred darkroom work to Ps.

I talked with Jerry once. He said he did all his work in the wet darkroom, and not Photoshop. I asked how he got his ideas. He said, show me a lightbox of your work and I will find compositions in the elements.

Looks like the photographic equivalent of Salvador Dali's paintings. Very interesting work and impeccably printed.
RIP sir. I will continue with my OM film bodies to honor your work.
RIP. His memory is reflected in his work. Looks like he was blessed with a long and very productive life. His resume is spectacular. Great career.
