I think the leadership of the democratic party has a real blind spot when it comes to illegal immigration. It wasn't an issue in the 2020 election because of covid, anti-Trump sentiment, and the fact that the illegal immigration situation had really improved.
I think this is going to be the plank of their platform that spanks the hell out of them.
