The Rolling Stone article does not support that "Trump is now asking Putin to dig up dirt on the Biden family."
It does not document that Trump asked Putin for anything.
It reports that Trump expressed his opinion that Putin should release an explanation for a $3.5M payment to the Biden family.
1. "The dirt" has already been dug up and has been already known for some time.
2. Expressing an opinion that Putin should do something is not the same as actually asking him to do it.

But the headline does make for good click-bait, and within the Left echo chamber no doubt resonates loudly.

If I express my opinion that I don't think you should have posted a link to this article, is not the same as me contacting you and asking you not to do it.
