Does anyone here know of places around Dayton, Ohio that can be used for taking location portraits of a family? I know of a couple of parks but with the getting cold and unpredictable, we're looking for possible indoor locations. They mentioned a barn as an idea but open to anything.

The Air Force Museum is a great place to take lots of pictures of old warbirds most all of them are inside climate controlled buildings.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. It has been a while since I have been to the Air Force Museum. The family doesn't seem interested in it as a location. I think I'll visit there again with my family sometime soon.

I have searched the internet and mostly came up with attractions to visit as a tourist.

I'm not all that familiar with Dayton, but there are some really neat old buiildings in Lebanon, Franklin, Yellow Springs, and Miamisburg. I don't know if they are available for indoor use, though. Lebanon has the old ice cream parlor and Golden Lamb. You might consider something like that.

Check out this website: http://www.10best.com/destinations/ohio/dayton/attractions/historic-sites . Again, I don't know if any of these buildings will allow photography, etc.

If you don't mind the drive, I would suggest you consider St. Mary's Basillica of the Assumption in Covington, KY. It is amazing! Even if you don't go this time, well worth a drive in the future. Or there is Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Not indoors, but wonderful scenery.

Definately the AFM, from the Imax side to the annex via shuttel bus. Also the museum of nat hystory, just north of Dayton on Deweis pkway off N. Dixie at Seibenthaler, then a bit more north (Dixie hwy or I 75) York Commons, the largest Wall-Mart in Ohio is there. Carrilion park has several hystoric buildings that you can enter for pics. Things like the Wright bros. cycle shop, one of their Wright Flyers, Trains etc.
