Photo was taken from my back deck in Mokelumne Hill, CA. I live in an "unincorporated" area of Calaveras County-- very rural. I'm about an hour and a half from Sacramento. Elevation here is approx 2,400 ft.
Shot is taken looking due West. The peak you see in the distance is Mount Diablo in the Bay Area. The body of water right in front of it is New Hogan lake in Valley Springs.
Photo taken with my Nikon Z5 and vintage Vivitar 135mm f2.8. There were many versions of this lens made. I have the milled metal grip version with 5 elements and 8-bladed aperture, circa 1971-1974. This is a heavy all-metal lens, manual focus only, of course. I paid about $25.00 for mine at a thrift store lol.
Image was exposure bracketed.
It gives a sense of the broad natural beauty found in the State of California. Thanks for the vista.

Beautiful. I recognized Mt. Diablo in the distance immediately. I've driven the road to the top many times. Not bad for a vintage lens.

Thank you. My dad lived in Brentwood (near Antioch) and would often go hiking at Mount Diablo. I've been there a few times-- fantastic views if you can hike or drive to the top
Beautiful--layers abound!
Beautiful photo. Heck of place to relax with a cup or glass of?
You have a most excellent view.

I would say you hit on the right combination. You can't beat $25 for a good lens. Beautiful photo and very sharp.
