Don't forget to check your camera's time setting, as well as what ever other clocks you have that don't reset automatically. It's also a good time to go through your camera's menu to see if all the settings are still as you want them.

Amongst my two pet peeves. Daylight savings and the US not using the metric system! When I bake bread I use metric and a scale and it is eaaaaasy. I figure if dope dealers can use metric, so can we!

Meanwhile the dst thing is goofy too! Want more daylight? Get up at sunup. To me it’s like driving around the block multiple times because your car turn indicator (blinker) is stuck.
😀
Rant over. Carry on as before

Happy Sunday and Happy shooting to all

Yes the DST thing bothers me but what bothers me more is that some states want to keep the time the same year round but they would use DST instead Standard Time. They called it "Standard" for a reason. If you want to save the day light change the working hours instead of changing the time. As for the metric system, typical Americans don't want it.

Just curious, what is difficult with the Imperial system?

Brilliant!

And I saw that someone is suggesting we just keep clocks on DST…ummm, how ‘bout sticking with standard time?

Either way, I set my equipment to GMT so I don’t have to do anything about it.

I'm still waiting for my two atomic clocks to catch up.

The would be sleeper said, "well heck,"
this blanket will not reach my neck.

Unless I want to go quite mad
a short extension I must add.

I need material to sew.
I know! I’ll take some from the toe.”

And so he cut and sewed it on
to make that blanket extra long.

But then said he, “Well, I’ll be beat
for now it will not reach my feet.”

A silly tale, what’s that you say?
Like nothing that we do today?

Well think my friend of daylight time
which does the same with clocks that chime.

So sleepy drivers, cars they crash
causing them their teeth to gnash.

Then sleepy workers, bosses too
make big mistakes which they then rue.

In sleepy schools it must be fun
it sounds like snoring, 101.

And now the sleep that people lack
can also cause a heart attack!

Is it coincidence that this change rules
So near the time of April fools?

As am American, I certainly understand it. But the metric is so much easier. I people can multiple by 10 then it is a snap. And a 1ml of water weights 1 gram. What does a gallon of water weigh? Or 2.5 gallons? Or a million gallons. For science and cooking it really is simple to do the math in the head. I make bread. I put the bowl on a scale, put in the 3500 grams of flour, the x grams of water, or I can increase the size of the recipe by what ever I want in my head. I did not know ahead of time that flours weight differently...using a scale makes it so much nicer...but recipes in cups becomes a bit challenging when one wants to increase by 1.5.,

It is THE standard in the sciences, engineering, medical field. Why not just cut out imperial all together?

The one area where I agree...I just cant figure out the temp thing...even though I know 0 is where water freezes and 100 is where it boils. I don't know instinctively if 15.5 is a hot day or not!

Where I totally agree...I can't put myself up to asking for a liter of beer, no mater where I am in the world. Im kind of with the Irish (which I am 33%) on that one...even if they're on the metric system, one has to get a proper pint of beer!

You should ask for half a liter of beer.

Thanks LF for the timely reminder - I do a treck through the house every morning after the time change and set the clocks that didn't automatically adjust, is also a great time to synch all of them again - BUT - I always forget the clock on my camera - so again, thanks for the reminder: now all is done and well!
