You aren't disagreeing with me. You are disagreeing with my ophthalmologist (and the medical research papers on the subject). To your point that physicians may tend to use the same brand again and again, you know there are, now, several options available for replacement....6 at the time I had my surgery done last September. My ophthalmologist sat down with me and we went over the plusses and minuses of each one (and they are not all alike). I made the choice of the lens, based on which of the "quirks" I could tolerate and which would bother me. The second surgery is probably not far off. As this fascinating thread shows, color is "in the eye of the beholder".....but at least we can all see without the fog of the cataract 😊

Sit at computer and relax then a few times measure how far away you are. When you go to eye Dr tell them that distance and they can make a better glass for you. I just use a piece of string. Every few min move and you'll migrate you head to a comfortable position

Good approach and I have used a cloth sewing measure tape since the 1980's to make sure my computer glasses are measured correctly for distance.Bach in the 1980's they didn't call them computer glasses.

Not being nasty, just my experience. I had cataract surgery last year, both eyes. I had no changes in color before or after surgery. What I did have was loss of focus. For me
things did not turn yellowish or become brighter. OTOH, my sister was ready to buy all new white goods, until she had her surgery. Just so more people know, not 100% of cataract patients vision turns yellow.

Good point.
