Confused shrubbery...
Hurricane Ida really messed with the local vegetation- after blowing leaves off everything and making September look like the dead of winter, by October new leaves freckled up the woods, blooms puckered in the bushes and crepe myrtles strained to push out colorful replacement blossoms. This poor rose was crushed and mashed by the previous fence, then trampled when the new fence was installed. February freezes didn't help much... but it blooms still, convinced of summer...
