Hi Ugly Hedgehoggers, These images are far from being "Macro". They are mostly 0.13x to 0.52x life sized on my sensor. All but one flower in both parts are far larger than my camera's sensor (~16x23 mm). Some of the equipment used on various images in this set

Pentax K-3 Camera 24MP APS-C
Pentax DFA 100mm f/4 Macro Lens (FF)
ISO 200
@ f/5.6 to f/9
@ 1/4 to 1/15 second
Shot RAW, Created TIFF, Created JPEG for various attempts at stacking
WeMacro (Focus Stacking) Rail
WeMacro Control and Stepping Software
Samsung Galaxy Note8 SmartPhone for Programming Running Focusing Rail
Tripod
Ps CS6 for Stacking and Further Processing, including cropping
Zerene Stacker Zs Dmap & Zs Pmax modes
Stacks have included from around 9 to 110 separate images, mostly in the 30 to 50 ish range.

I am posting one or more “straight” versions of my images and one or more “experimental” ones that have been processed or created with the digital filters in Ps, Nik, or Topaz.

1 Orchid at 0.13x life size on my sensor

2 Tulip at 0.20x life size on my sensor

3 Orchid Further Processed with Topaz: Simplify 4 Sketch Hard Pencil

4 Orchid Further Processed with Ps: Invert – Solarize – Contrast – Brighten

5 Orchid Further Processed with Ps: Find Edges – Invert

6 Tulip Further Processed with Nik: Color Efex Pro 4 Solarization 5

7 Tulip Further Processed with Nik: Color Efex Pro 4 Solarization 1

Thanks for the view and feedback. For me, the second and seventh are my favorites of this batch. The huge orchid plant with some seven flowers turned out to be rather boring.

Beautiful work, too many photos to digest at one time... Thank you lamiaceae for including the educational details of How2.

The flowers can be in a supermarket and simply ask some Clark, "Ok if I photograph some of these beautiful flowers" I have always gotten a nodding smile OKing it.

Yes, I have done similar to that at plant nurseries. Yes, super markets, specialty markets, the like would probably be OK too. But many of the images I have been presenting are focus stacks of many images taken from a tripod. Not a set up for a retail store. But I definitely could try a Botanical Garden for a focus stack as I have single shots many times for the last 40+ years. That beats cost-wise buying the current three rooted potted plants we have now. Thanks for your comments and taking a look at my images.

Very cool! Its nice to see some art going on 'round here too! There is the Digital Artistry page in UHH, and there are folks there who use some pretty amazing filter effects. It lets the mind wander to new places and possibilities.

I will have to check that page for at least a look. I do not think I had looked at it before. Thanks.
