When I was on my way out this morning I saw the TWP workers taking down part or a tree in front of our meeting building the TWP lets us use for our historical society meetings. The TWP lets us use the building with no charge.

A LOT of firewood there. It doesn’t look dead. Why are they taking it down?

If I were there, I’d ask them to throw the logs onto my truck. Those guys would be taking a ride through my sawmill. Generally that bent gnarled wood has some interesting grain. Makes some interesting furniture.

Looks like an ash that was damaged by the emerald ash borer. Most ash trees in our area are dead as a result.
