Beautifully composed, Alan. The downloads are fabulous.
Coming from an artist of your ability, is a shot in the arm.
Thanks Joe.

Nice! There’s nothing wrong with an old camera.
Ahha.
I've got a state of the art Fujifilm with the APSC X-Trans sensor.
It's pixel count is double the old Nikon, but the D700s larger
sensor more or less makes up the deficit.
The Fujifilm, a little X-E3 is much smaller and lighter;
being an avid motorcyclist, makes a better travel
companion.
On the other hand the D700s robustness and ease of control makes it
my choice for work... I do the occasional Real Estate and Automotive shoot...
as old hacks like me do, to make a few extra pennies.
I've found the old, backed up by the new, with 3 lenses each
fill all my photo needs.
Having said that, there's still a lens or two I'd like to
round out the abilities.

I actually shoot my D700 more than my D810. Between the two I am set for the rest of my life.
A friend who owns and runs a small photography shop
reckons he wouldn't mind swapping his D800 (he uses for
portraits in the studio) for my D700... not that he's
actually pulled the D800 out and dropped it into my
cotton picking fingers... except for when he's
busy and wants me to shoot heads for him... pro bono of course.
Very nicely done, Abo. I still have my D700. Not used as much as it was in the past.

The D700 was released about 13 years ago... predated by the D3 (being the first) by approximately
12 months.
Both very good even by todays standards imho...
the pictures being as good as the latest and greatest
unless you need mural or bill board size prints.

Cut it out Moondoggie... my head's getting too big for my hat.

It pays to have more than one camera... keeps the shutter counts low
That's how I justify a car and 2 registered motorcycles... keeps the kilometres low.
I may have the lowest kilometre 2006 Subaru in the country lol.

lovely macro
Nice to hear from you Bienhoa... I'm pleased you like it.
I kept the saturation and chromaticity down... to give the blooms (Dutch Iris) a more "delicate" aura.
D700 & Nikkor 50mm AF-D
f4 1/400s ISO 200.
I'd be pleased to see more of your photos too.
Warm wishes,
Alan.
