Or intrusive depending on your perspective. I have the Ap on my IPad and often use it to watch TV. Several days ago I travelled to a different city with my IPad, and when I opened UTube TV, it informed me that it was aware where I was and had added the local TV channels to my UTubeTV channel lineup. Apparently it queries the built in GPS on opening and modifies it’s channel lineup accordingly. No privacy of any kind anymore - even my streaming service knows where I am every minute

I've been in discussions with my internet provider about Google and Youtube TV and the IP address my computer is using - They explained to me that Google and Youtube use the IP address to determine location...
It seems when there is a hiccup and I get a new IP, it's possible, with my provider, that the IP indicates I'm in Neb and puts my local channels to Lincoln - my local channels should be Wichita - and they offered me a fixed IP for an additional $10/month... I just reboot my router and get a new IP - normally, that fixes it...
Big Brother is watching. Would using VPN help? I guess not, if they watching your GPS.
Google! Need I say more? Actually, it probably doesn't matter what site your on. I look at something & I'll get all kinds of emails offers. Even the adds on UHH.

Yea...
Google maps USED to put me at my address, now it puts me someplace in the area. Probably where the "main distribution point" is for my ISP for the area.
My IP address (the router) is fixed for some reason. It used to be variable with the previous router.

Just in case you didn’t know, Google OWNS You Tube TV as well as Waze and Words With Friends.
I hate Google. I use Bing as my search engine.
When I am texting, they tell me what to say.

Some actually appreciate that innovation. If you find that an intrusion of privacy, you apparently are not aware that internet websites everywhere use cookies to learn everything about you and track everything you buy. It's even spelled out in the voluminous "terms and conditions of use" that you didn't read, but "accepted" by clicking.
We don't need a chip in our body, we have our cell phones, iPads, GPS in our cars, and all the sevurity cameras on street corners and in businesses. It is not possible to hide.

Oh I’m well aware of it since I used to sell signal acquisition and processing equipment to the NSA for project Carnivore. And as for cookies, I started with iBM in 1965 and retired from Oracle in 2017 with a lot of high tech and high performance computer companies in between. Just commenting about UTube TV being location agile in real time regarding local programming.

I saw the same post and clicked on the link. Within an hour, there were several adds from the same belt company on my Facebook page.
